Learning is more permanent when attached to an experience. One way to accomplish this is to teach through an activity. Some learn best when they are physically involved in a learning activity, others when they create designs and images, still others through movement, rhythm and music and yet others through group interaction. Learning activities can engage all of these learning styles and allow everyone an experience to be taught how they learn best. These ideas have been ‘tested’ or used on many age groups. Adults and teenagers have actively participated in all of these activities; they aren’t just for young children.
