A full cookie jar is the most magical appliance in the kitchen.  If the cookie jar is full no one complains if dinner isn’t ready or that dinner is bad.  If the cookie jar is full company feels like you were expecting them.  Here is your first full cookie jar to congratulate you on your marriage.  Best wishes!

        Love,

                        The Payne’s

Cookie jars are everywhere and in all shapes, colors and sizes.  Inexpensive, but attractive, glass "old-fashioned cracker jars" are at WalMart and Target for under $5.

For a welcome wedding gift, fill the jar with fresh cookies (or cookie mixes) and attach the note above with a recipe.

Packaged in a gift sack with tissue paper, the final cost is $6-$7.  Typically, I receive about 20-30 wedding invitations a year and this is a gift I can afford to congratulate everyone with.
