What's For Supper?

 

1/2 cup margarine + ½ cup butter

2 cups sugar

2 tsp vanilla

4 eggs

¾ cup baking cocoa

1 cup flour

½ tsp salt

1 cup chopped nuts, opt.

 

Mix ingredients in order given.  Pour into greased 9” x 13” pan.  Bake at 325 degrees for 28 minutes.  Frost if desired.

 

Rocky Road Frosting

 

Sprinkle baked brownies with marshmallows.  Bake a few minutes longer (watch closely so they don’t burn) until soft and puffy.  Spread melted marshmallows while still warm and then top with chocolate frosting and chopped nuts.  Cool and cut.

 

Chocolate Frosting

 

1 cube butter

4 Tbsp baking cocoa

6 Tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch of salt

3 cups powdered sugar (more or less)

 

Cream butter, cocoa, milk and vanilla.  Add salt and powdered sugar.  Mix well.
